ABOUT
Aleksandr Lee
An entrepreneur, filmmaker, and photographer based in New York City. Over the past decade, I’ve built a career around one central passion: understanding people and telling their stories through powerful visuals.
Art has always been close to my heart. I’m fascinated not only by what people create, but by why they create it — the spark that drives them, the challenges they face, and the process that transforms raw ideas into finished work. I aim to go deeper than the surface, into the soul of the artist and the rhythm of their process.
With Artist Element, I bring this approach to life, creating films that don’t just show the art, but reveal the person, their voice, and the meaning behind their work.
I also run a portrait studio in Midtown Manhattan, where I work with executives, creatives, and professionals to create images that reflect confidence, authenticity, and presence.
My filmmaking has also taken me far beyond the studio — into the worlds of science, medicine, and music. In science, I’ve documented groundbreaking research and discoveries that challenge how we see the world, often reminding me how vast, humbling, and inspiring human knowledge can be. In medicine, I’ve filmed some of the most complex procedures — from open-heart surgeries to brain operations — working alongside top surgeons who are true masters of their craft.
Music is another close part of my journey. I’ve filmed jazz performances, jazz cruises, and festivals, staying close to music and portraying its most authentic, human side. These experiences have opened my eyes to new ways of seeing the world and deepened my connection to creativity.
